Magic Mike in your living room.

To celebrate the premiere of reality competition series “Finding Magic Mike,” HBO launched an AR experience that allows fans to access “private” dance performances from real contestants on the show. Viewers can interact with the dancers by showering them with Magic Mike‘s signature pink dollars or raising a glass of digital champagne.

The Process

Captures where performers are close to the ground can be especially tricky, as the risk for occlusion and green spill is increased. For this series, the Metastage team worked closely with the FMM choreographer to ensure quality data could be recorded and processed for the experience.
